Transcendental Meditation Teacher & Artist
Haim Menashehoff was born in Isfahan, Iran. He studied fine arts at the prestigious Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem, and later studied film in New York City.
Having exhibited around the world, Haim has settled in Cape Town, South Africa, since 1980, where he continues to paint and teach Transcendental Meditation.
His works can be labeled realist, surrealist, cubist, impressionist, pop-art, op-art, kitsch art — all in one stroke, with a breath of philosophy.
Practitioners use a specific, personally assigned mantra — a silent sound without meaning — to let the active thinking process subside. This allows the mind to transition to quieter levels of awareness until it reaches a state of "restful alertness": deep physical and mental relaxation while staying awake.
TM cannot be learned from books or apps; it must be taught by a certified instructor through a standardized course. Instruction involves personalized training and follow-up sessions to ensure the technique is practiced correctly.
